Ninja ripper 2 world space blender

ninja ripper 2 world space blender

Ninja Ripper 2 is designed to extract 3D models, textures and shaders from games and 3D programs. Suitable for DirectX 12/11/10/9/8/7 games. Supports ripping Android games via Nox, BlueStacks emulators. This is a global update of Ninja Ripper 1.7.1, which was closed in 2017 due to lack of funding.
The utility saves meshes and textures and everything that is sent for rendering by the game. You can get models NOT only in the camera, but also behind it (depends on the game engine). You can get a complete map if you combine several rips from different locations.
Animations/bones/weights are not saved at the moment.
The utility is available through Patreon (Exclusive Tier): Because it is a time-consuming program Ninja Ripper 2 is not free and without Patrons support it would have been discontinued. If for some reason you can not buy it, use the public version of Ninja Ripper 1.7.1.
Install the addon for blender/3ds Max/Maya. Located in the ripper importers folder. (Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Ninja Ripper 2.5\importers) How to update an existing addon in blender?
  Remove an existing addon
  Reboot blender
  Install the updated addon

Rip'n'print

Ripping 3D models from games can be done by injecting a dynamic loaded library (.DLL) when running the game executable "jacking" into the graphics calls (OpenGL, DirectX etc). The ripper then usually store the game meshes and texture on the disk.

The intention of this post is to act as a reference for those who wants to rip their own Guild Wars 2 (GW2) character to be printed. It might also be an interesting showcase of what is possible in the realm of DIY projects and your favourite 3D game. The method described below probably also works for other games, but the method of ripping and the quality of the resulting meshes vary between games and ripping applications. Also, games tend to use various tricks to render their characters in a visually appealing way that does not necessarily translate well to a 3D print. MMORPGs, for example, tend to have weapons that float mid air next to the character which is not ideal for printing. GW2 is an example where some of the game's weapons are mostly shaders where the weapon model on its own is 1) not that interesting and 2) next to impossible to print. Before you try ripping models, you need to make sure th

2024 update:

If you’re looking for a tutorial — this post has little value as a tutorial. Click here for a more up-to-date version that attempts to give you a more correct run-down of Blender. Now with 90% less of “I tried X and it didn’t work.”

Back in 2012, I was kinda into Guild Wars 2. Because of reasons, around 2012 I also had to pick a new username due to my old one being often already taken. I ended up going with the name of my GW2 character, and I ended up using that username everywhere to the point said personality kinda became a bit of a mascot.

Fast forward to 2022, I get into mini painting. Fast forward to 2023, and I get an excuse to finally print out my charr. Except not really because Tamius is a ranger, not an engineer — and that’s a mistake that’s been rectified when a friend of mine dragged me back into GW2 recently. Yes, I really want my charrzooka that much.

If you’re here just for TL;DR:

Disclaimer: When I did this, I didn’t earn a ban. This means it’s likely safe to do it, but it doesn’t mean it’s 100% safe to do it and that it will continue safe to do it.

You can read the Vermintide 2 asset ripping guide here

The 2.8 update of NinjaRipper namedrops Darktide in its Patreon post, saying how the new Time Freezer function lets you prevent the game crashing. Can confirm that this works, we can straight up stick to default settings of the software, but sadly texture results aren't any better. Meshes are a little easier to grab now, but otherwise we're still back at square one since the game's launch.

The textures, requiring a different piece of software listed in the guide, look like this. The assembly of well over dozens of thousands of textures is partially sorted into their respective collections.

WARNING: This way of asset ripping does not restore anything except meshes. The final result is a charac
