With the support of sponsors like Pendulum and NEFT Vodka, Worlds Away has secured partnerships with major players in the tech world. The festival is teaming up with Augmento, the AR platform transforming venues into interactive Mixed Reality playgrounds, and Normal Studio, known for its work with the “Van Gogh Experience.” Web3 and NFC chip specialists Endstate, along with Vita Motus, the design wizards behind Coachella and EDC, are setting a new standard for immersive festival experiences.

Tiesto, Chainsmokers, Lauv Lead Worlds Away Festival Lineup
A new festival called Worlds Away, featuring Tiesto, the Chainsmokers, Lauv and others, will take place on Oct. 12 at the historic Monterey County Fairgrounds, home of the legendary Monterey Pop Festival of 1967, event producers Pendulum have announced. Other performers include R3HAB, Sam Feldt, Lost Kings and Ayokay, with more to be announced.
According to the announcement, the inaugural festival “is more than just an event; it is a movement that celebrates the enduring power of art to transcend boundaries, and connect people from all walks of life, paying homage to Monterey’s rich cultural legacy while paving the way for the future of festivals. The inaugural event will transport ‘travelers’ (Worlds Away attendees) to an entirely different world, using cutting-edge technological innovation, never seen immersive art installations, spectacular light shows, and performances from an incredible lineup of multi-platinum and Grammy award-winning music acts.”
General tickets will go on-sale beginning Aug. 16, and a pre-sale will be available Aug. 14.

We had an epic time at the Worlds Away Music Festival at the Monterey Fairgrounds! The energy was electric, and we were stoked to be part of it all—good music, amazing art, and a crowd that brought the best vibes.
Music, Art, and Fun All Around
This year’s lineup was stacked, with The Chainsmokers headlining and keeping the crowd moving with an memorable set. Tiësto took the stage with his legendary beats, while Lauv brought his signature smooth sound to the festival. Sets from R3HAB, Sam Feldt, Lost Kings, and Ayokay kept the high-energy vibes going all daytime long.
Beyond the music, the art installations were something to behold. The red installation was bold and captivating, and the elephant with spray-painted grass? Total showstopper! The anime character installation had festival-goers snapping pics all morning, adding a unique and playful twist to the event.

With its rugged coastline, natural beauty and mild climate, Monterey can really seem like a different world. Like many before him, that inspiration struck Ro Sahebi, founder and executive producer of the upcoming event Worlds Away. Along with public relations point-person Greg Cortez and festival director Nelson Diaz, Sahebi agreed that the idyllic city would be the perfect place to birth a new electronic dance music festival-experience.
The high profile event takes place on Oct. 12 at the Monterey County Fair & Event Center, with Grammy award-winning icons Tiësto and The Chainsmokers headlining. Tiësto is a house music legend considered the “godfather” of EDM. The Chainsmokers, with their electropop flair, are EDM royalty.
The announcement of the one-day festival during the summer sent a buzz throughout the community and, according to event organizers, the first tier of VIP packages sold out weeks before the event.
