LA Dodgers Officially Unveil Gold-Accented Caps and Jerseys to Celebrate 2024 World Series Win
The Los Angeles officially launched their “Gold Collection” over the weekend, confirming the leak of both the jersey and the caps from last week.
While we’re only concerned here at Uni Watch over the gear which will be worn on field, unsurprisingly the Dodgers have also created an entire line of gold-accented merch (hoodies, tees, etc.) designed to celebrate the team’s 2024 World Series victory over the New York Yankees. Much of it is already sold out, so clearly MLB/Nike/Fanatics have tapped into a (pardon the pun) gold mine of retail sales related to special World Series merch.
Here’s what the Dodgers will wear on the field when they receive their WS rings and celebrate the championship are the special 2025 caps and jerseys.

The Los Angeles Dodgers captured their eighth World Series title last year and now are looking to become the first team in more than two decades to repeat as MLB champions.
Just as they did during the 2021 season after winning the World Series, the Dodgers are going to participate in MLB’s gold program this year.
It has been a longstanding tradition for the reigning World Series champions to don a gold-trimmed jersey and cap in their first home game or series of the season.
While the Dodgers haven’t officially unveiled their gold series jersey and cap for 2025, the design has seemingly leaked on social media as some retailers are already selling the merchandise.
The Dodgers script is gold and outlined in blue, while the number on the front of the jersey is gold with a red outline. Additionally, the right sleeve has a World Series champions patch.
That’s a change from the Dodgers’ gold jersey in 2021, when the script was blue and the front number was red, both of which were outlined in gold.
In some sense the gold series Dodgers jersey for 2025 is relatively similar to what players wore during the 2022 MLB All-Star Game at Dodger Stadium.

It has been an almost uninterrupted tradition for two decades, beginning with the Boston Red Sox in 2005, the defending World Series champion has opened the season wearing special gold-accented jerseys (and oftentimes caps as well). The only exceptions have been the 2006 White Sox, the 2008 Red Sox, and the 2010 Yankees. So it should come as no surprise that the Los Angeles Dodgers will be celebrating their 2024 World Series victory with a gold-themed top.
The following two images began circulating on social media late yesterday, and apparently were leaked from a Nike store. I can’t confirm 100% these are what the Dodgers will be sporting when they open the season in LA and have their ring ceremony, but all signs point to it.
Note in the second photo there is a World Series Champions patch.
The “Dodgers” script is solid gold, outlined in blue, while the jersey front number is gold outlined in red.
You may recall the Dodgers won the 2020 (pandemic) World Series, and following that championship, in 2021 the team also wore gold accented jerseys, but in the “opposite” style of

Keeping with recent tradition, the Los Angeles Dodgers will celebrate their 2024 World Series championship with gold uniform elements when the 2025 Major League Baseball season begins.
The Dodgers officially released their “Gold Collection” late last week, featuring jerseys, caps and other apparel celebrating their championship win.

Technically, the Dodgers’ season began last week with wins over the Chicago Cubs in Tokyo, Japan. But when they’re back at Dodger Stadium this weekend to take on the Detroit Tigers, they’ll be sporting white jerseys with a gold wordmark with a blue outline across the chest above gold numbers with a red outline. Names and numbers on the back will be gold with blue outlines. A commemorative patch is affixed to the right sleeve.
The Dodgers’ caps will have a gold “LA” logo on the front, a gold New Era logo on the left side, a gold MLB logo on the back and a gold squatchee on top. A “World Series Champions” logo is embroidered on the right side.
