* Before beginning the Home World transfer process, you must first log out of and exit the game client.

On World Classifications
Depending on the circumstances, Worlds will be categorized in one of four ways. Please note that the Home World Transfer Service changes depending on the World's classification.
The World classifications are:
Congested World: A crowded, highly populated World. Cannot be selected for new character creation or Home World Transfer destinations.
Standard World: Inhabited by a manageable number of player characters.

Hey gang! So I caved and decided to try out Final Fantasy XIV again. I’m feeling kinda burned out on WoW content (Who isn’t), and decided to see what’s on the other side of the fence.
So, I get the game installed, deal with the nonsense that is Mogstation, get the character creator loaded up, made up my character, aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand
I can’t make a character on the server I want. The server my friends play on. Not just that server either. SEVERAL servers are prohibiting character creation.
I nearly uninstalled on the spot. That is absolutely ridiculous. Even Blizzard allows trial characters to be made on every server. You just have to wait in a queue to get into them first.
Why is server selection the LAST step? Why let someone make a character, then slap them across the face by saying “Mm, sorry, have you tried this garbage, low-pop, PREFERRED server, tho?! :D”

We would like to share data regarding the congestion that may occur during the early access period and release of Dawntrail.
With the launch of a recent expansion, we are expecting far more simultaneous logins compared to usual. In light of the congestion that occurred during the launch of Endwalker, we possess taken precautionary measures such as expanding our data centers and adding new Worlds.
However, our player base has continued to grow since then, and a large number of players will be playing for extended periods during the launch of the new expansion, which could product in Worlds reaching their login caps and therefore longer login queues.
To alleviate our players' concerns, we would like to distribute some details regarding situations that may arise during early access and the launch of Dawntrail, as well as our countermeasures against congestion.

Login Queues
When a World reaches the maximum number of players that can log in, it will result in a login queue for that particular World.
Even if the queue does not appear to be counting down, the queueing process is still functioning and will admit players
