I found the quest to find Pamela Redpath doll one of the hardest quests to finished. Children dying is a hard subject to think about when the point of playing games is to enjoy yourself and not be depressed after.

I thought the death of Varian was actually really well done and made me a little sad. I liked his character but the audio of him screaming as Gul’Dan destroyed his soul was very memorable.

Dwelling on death isn’t exactly healthy if you think about it the wrong way — except TV deaths, which leave special, agonizing scars. Losing a TV character you’ve spent years with hits hard, and can often change the course of the series moving forward. Someone like prickly “Succession” patriarch Logan Roy (Brian Cox) was integral not only to the narrative, but to how each and every other character relates to one another and to their core attributes and aspirations. “Succession” was simply not the same show without him. Other deaths devastate you by building up a character into someone you love — which is why so many fans struggled with the gruesome death of Pedro Pascal’s Joel in “The Last of Us.”

I am reminded of a scene from Stargate SG-1. It is a moment where someone has died, and they haven’t revealed who just yet, but it’s someone very dear to everyone. Two officers, one of them a general, are speaking, and the general says, “You try to tell yourself that every man and woman under your command means the same to you. Each has to be equally valuable if you’re going to make the kinds of decisions that affect their lives the way I have to. But you can’t help it. You get closer to some people. You never want to lose anyone.”
Death is a part of life, a door that we must all eventually pass through, and see our loved ones pass through as well. That is a simple fact, and an inevitable truth. And yet, there are some deaths, both real and in fiction, which simply hit us harder, and which linger with us more, until it’s our turn.

Yondu’s death scene contains two things that are guaranteed to make audiences cry— a heroic sacrifice and a touching father-son relationship. After serving as a bit of an antihero, Yondu undergoes some great character development and fully turns to the good side. He also embraces Peter as his son. This comes to a head when only one of them can leave a planet alive. Once it’s clear Yondu is giving up his life to save his surrogate son, nothing can stop the waterworks from flowing.
